In early 2024, Sigma released updated firmware that totally rewrote AF algorithms, and fixed the OS seeming to fight the camera AF system. WebJul 6, 2024 · The Sigma lens on its own is sharp up to 600mm. It's not as sharp at 600mm wide open as it is at 300mm, but it's sharp to where it looks good to me with default LR sharpening. With the TC, I find that it's good under around 950mm. WebPersonally think this type of lens is better lens with an APS-C sensor for sharper added reach without a teleconverter, but that might not be a popular opinion with the full frame crowd. Absolutely love their 15-30mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 SP. Wish I could get native glass from them for the new mounts.
