WebOct 10, 2012 · I have a 12.7L Detroit in a 2000 Freightliner. I don't know what DDEC version that is. I have had 2 instances where it seemed like a lost power going up a pretty steep hill (in the field - steeper than what you get on most roads). In at least one case, it was blowing white smoke.
