Webb13 mars 2024 · Polycythemia means more total red blood cell mass than a normal human body needs. Polycythemia can be primary, secondary, and mixed types. PV is the most common type of primary polycythemias. PV is a neoplasm with overproduction of both morphologically and functionally normal blood cells.
