WebApr 10, 2024 · Toys Hill used to be well known for its groves of ancient beech pollards, dating back to the early days of grazing, but only a few survived the 1987 storm. We turned off Puddledock Lane and headed south down the hill towards Obriss Farm but stopped to sit on a bench in a field just before reaching it, for a sandwich and tea break. WebOwned and managed by the National Trust, the site sits at the edge of Ide Hill village, and there are circular walks from which you can enjoy the beautiful views down to Bough Beech reservoir and experience the dense foliage and wildlife of the hilly woodland.
